German carmaker BMW has decided to stop production at its large plant in South Carolina, USA, due to the implications of the spread of the Corona virus.


According to the newspaper, the statement, the company said in a statement: The health and protection of our employees is our top priority.


The company indicated that the Corona pandemic has, in addition, significant negative effects on global auto demand, indicating that production will be adapted to this situation.

The company’s factory in Spartanburg, state, will be closed, starting April 3, for a period of likely two weeks.
