The performance of European indices varied at the beginning of the trading session on Thursday, September 14, amid anticipation of the European Central Bank’s decision on interest rates.
In terms of trading, the STOXX600 index rose by about 0.15% to 454 points.
The German DAX fell by 0.27%, recording 15,610 points, while the British FTSE rose by 0.33%, at 7,551 points, while the French CAC fell by 0.22%, to 7,207 points.
Automotive sector shares fell by about 1.4%.
Attention is turning to the European Central Bank's monetary policy meeting later today, amid division in expectations over the bank's decision to either stabilize or continue raising interest rates.
The euro rose against the dollar, after falling to its lowest level in 3 months against the green card, as US inflation data failed to shift market expectations towards stabilizing interest rates with the Federal Reserve.
