The Saudi Stock Exchange announced the suspension of trading in the shares of a number of listed companies on the main market due to the companies’ failure to disclose the financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2024, within the specified statutory period.
Tadawul clarified, in a statement today, Monday, that the shares of: (Food Development Business Company - Saudi Industrial Exports Company - Al-Naifat Finance Company) were suspended for one trading session, which corresponds to Monday, August 12, 2024.
She pointed out that trading in the shares of these companies will resume for 20 trading sessions starting tomorrow, Tuesday, and the companies must publish the financial statements before the end of Monday, September 9, 2024.
If a company does not announce its financial statements during that period, trading in the stock will be suspended again starting from Tuesday, September 10, 2024, until it announces its financial statements.
Yesterday, Sunday, August 11, 2024, the regular deadline granted to listed companies to disclose their financial results for the second quarter ended. 210 companies whose fiscal year ends at the end of December of the Gregorian year announced their financial results during the deadline, and 3 companies failed to do so.
