US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that the decision of the OPEC + group to reduce oil production is unhelpful, unwise and harmful to the global economy, especially emerging markets.

We are very concerned about developing countries and the problems they face, Janet Yellen told the Financial Times on Sunday.

Janet Yellen criticized the allies' slowness in sending financial aid to Ukraine, saying that the pace of money transfers to Ukraine was too slow.

On the other hand, the White House's economic adviser said, at the end of last week, that the OPEC + decision to cut production was disappointing because it was not justified, and that the lack of oil supplies was still a major challenge.

Oil prices had received support at the end of last week from the OPEC + decision to reduce production by about two million barrels per day, as crude prices rose in global markets at varying rates.
