Saudi Arabia's holdings of US Treasury bonds rose by 19.5% year-on-year by the end of April 2024.

According to monthly data from the US Treasury Department, the Kingdom’s holdings of bonds amounted to $135.4 billion at the end of last April, compared to $113.3 billion at the end of the same month in 2023, an increase of $22.1 billion.

On a monthly basis, Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasury bonds decreased by $500 million by the end of last February compared to the previous month, reaching $135.9 billion by the end of March 2024.

Saudi Arabia ranked 17th globally in the list of the largest investors in US Treasury bonds by the end of April 2024.
