The Iraqi Council of Representatives, in its session held on Wednesday, decided to ban some electronic games that incite violence and fighting and harm society.

The Iraqi Digital Media Center stated that the Iraqi parliament issued a decision obliging the Iraqi government to ban 3 games, which are Babbaji, Fortnite, and the Blue Whale.

The Parliamentary Committee for Culture and Information in Iraq believes that these games represent a social and moral threat to all groups of society, in addition to the negative impact on the educational level.

In contrast, a large number of social media pioneers in Iraq mocked the decision, especially since the parliament’s decision to ban a game that does not exist on the Internet or electronic stores such as Google Play and App Store.
