The price of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin increased in trading today, Saturday, to exceed $43,000, expanding its gains amid a demand for buying.
According to the CoinDesk digital currency platform, the price of Bitcoin increased by 0.2 percent to the level of $43,054.14.
It is noteworthy that Bitcoin rose by about 2 percent in January after Bitcoin ETFs began trading in the United States on January 11.
The currency had recorded gains of up to 160 percent in 2023 before the launch of the funds, which have so far attracted a net $817 million, according to Bloomberg.
Bitcoin ended 2023 around $42,000, which means the price is now about 1.25 percent higher for 2024.
