The shares of the Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, Empower, listed on the Dubai Financial Market, rose during trading today, Monday, after it awarded a group of contracts to construct a new generation district cooling station and to expand its district cooling pipeline network in the Jumeirah area in Dubai, in order to serve the region.

During today's trading, by 11:57 am UAE time, the stock rose by 1.65 percent to a price of 1.85 dirhams.

According to market data, the stock witnessed transactions with a volume of 915,035 thousand shares, worth 1.677 million dirhams, distributed over 60 transactions.

Empower stated that construction of the Jumeirah Beach Hills station began recently, and the new station is expected to enter service in the third quarter of 2024, when its total cooling capacity will reach 48 thousand refrigeration tons.

She confirmed that the construction of the new station goes hand in hand with the expansion of its pipeline network for transporting district cooling services

She pointed out that she displayed a model of the environmentally friendly Jumeirah Beach Hills station at the WETEX 2023 exhibition, which is a new generation of district cooling stations.
