Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, a subsidiary of the UAE Energy Company, has awarded projects worth AED 900 million to expand the network of recycled water distribution within the company's expansion program.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the new distribution lines, upon completion, will provide approximately 85 million gallons of water recycled daily, which is sufficient to irrigate more than 3.5 million trees. Palm.

The new stage of the program includes the supply of recycled water and the expansion of its transportation infrastructure to include dealers in the agricultural and commercial fields in the areas surrounding Abu Dhabi city.

The entire expansion program includes a pipeline network of approximately 150 km in length, distributed between two systems, with the capacity of the first carrier system 30 million gallons annually and will be completed in the third quarter of the year 2021, while the second carrier system has a capacity of 55 million gallons annually and will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
