A representative of the Russian company Gazprom said yesterday, Saturday, that the company's gas supplies to Europe via Ukraine amounted to 42.2 million cubic meters per day through the Sodja gas pumping station in the Russian Kursk region.

The company representative added, according to the Russian (TASS) agency: Gazprom supplies Europe via Ukrainian territory with the quantity confirmed by the Ukrainian side via the Sodzha gas pumping station amounting to 42.2 million cubic meters today, and the request to transport gas via the Sokranovka pumping station was rejected.

The transit line through Ukraine remains the only route for Russian gas supplies to Western and Central European countries, and pumping via Nord Stream has been completely stopped.
