The UAE stock markets (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) continued to decline by midday on Monday, with the main indices settling in the red zone under pressure from selective selling, amid an increasing pace in overall liquidity levels and notable activity on leading stocks and the retail sector.
According to trading data, the Dubai Financial Market General Index declined by approximately 0.767% at mid-session, losing 44.59 points and moving at a level of 5769.34 points.
The total value of trades reached AED 294.30 million, with trading volumes of 84.76 million shares, which were exchanged through the execution of 8,528 transactions.
Air Arabia's stock weighed on the index, topping the red list with a decline of 4.432%, while the National General Insurance Company's stock jumped by 4.100%, leading the gains.
Emaar Properties' stock maintained its lead in trading value at approximately AED 128.80 million, while Talabat's stock continued to lead in trading volume at approximately 29.46 million shares.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index settled at a 0.666% decline in midday trading, losing 65.17 points to trade at 9716.42 points.
The total value of trades reached 488.80 million dirhams, and 151.53 million shares were traded through 13,082 executed transactions.
Sudatel's stock was the biggest loser, declining by 3.740%, while Burjeel's stock recorded strong growth of 4.673%, topping the gainers.
In terms of activity, Alfa Abu Dhabi Holding shares topped the list in terms of trading value with AED 63.47 million, while Lulu Retail shares continued to lead in terms of volume with 20.86 million shares traded.
