The UAE today announced the restructuring of the government structure by merging ministries and creating other ones within the framework of a plan aimed at a government that is faster in decision-making, more up to date, and better in seizing opportunities.

According to the Al Ain News Portal, the economic file has been assigned to the new government, to 10 ministries, including new ministries and others that have been merged, as well as existing ministries.

The UAE Ministry of Finance remained under the leadership of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The amendment was confirmed by Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs.

Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology

The beginning of the amendments from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, which is a newly created ministry mandated to develop the industrial sector in the Emirates.

To accomplish its mission efficiently, the UAE announced the merger of the Standards and Metrology Authority with that ministry and the transfer of the Minister of State for Advanced Sciences to be under its umbrella.

Dr. Sultan Al-Jaber was appointed Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.

Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure

As for the second ministries in the economic file, it arose from the merging of the two ministries of energy with the infrastructure to become the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

The Zayed Housing Program and the Federal Land and Maritime Transport Authority have been attached to the new ministry, and Suhail bin Muhammad Al Mazrouei has been appointed as its minister.

3 ministers of economy

3 ministers were appointed within the Ministry of Economy, the first of whom was Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri, Minister of Economy, along with Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al-Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises.
