Russia's revenues from the sale of energy resources have risen to 5.7 trillion rubles (about $64 billion), the Finance Ministry has announced.

The ministry said in a report it published that the volume of oil and gas revenues in the period from January to June of this year increased by more than one and a half times and by 68.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to about 5.7 trillion rubles.

The report indicated that the increase in revenues achieved in the first half of this year by 700 billion rubles over the previously expected level is largely due to the rise in the prices of Russian Urals oil, and its sale at a price higher than the ceiling set by the West at $60 per barrel.
