The financial statements of Emirates NBD Bank showed an increase in the bank's profits in the first nine months of this year by 29% year on year.

According to the bank's results for the Dubai Financial Market, today, Wednesday, the profits for the period amounted to about 7.3 billion dirhams, compared to profits of 5.6 billion dirhams for the same period in 2020.

The bank said in the statement that the increase in profits during the comparison periods was mainly due to an increase in operating revenues by 2% to 5.76 billion dirhams.

The bank indicated that the provision for impairment of financial assets decreased by 49% to reach AED 1.1 billion by the end of the first nine months of this year.

The bank's results also showed that it achieved quarterly profits of 2.5 billion dirhams during the third quarter of this year, an increase of 61% compared to the corresponding quarter of last year.
