The Saudi Electricity Company signed 3 memoranda of understanding and cooperation with Chinese companies in conjunction with the visit of Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Saudi Minister of Defense to China.

The signing was attended by Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih and Minister of Trade and Investment Majid Al-Qasabi, as part of the activities of the Saudi-Chinese Investment Forum, which was held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, last Friday.

The signing of the agreements came in line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's endeavors to achieve its 2030 development vision and implement the National Transformation Program 2020.

The agreements aim to cooperate in the areas of technical transformation, smart solutions and networks, automation of operations and optical fibers, attracting new investments, localizing industries and transferring knowledge.

The three agreements signed with Huawei and the China National Electricity Transmission Company, all of which aim to localize industries within the Kingdom in addition to cooperation in the field of the Internet and network technologies.
