French transport company Alstom announced on Monday it had acquired Canadian company Bombardier Transport for about 6 billion euros ($ 6.75 billion), a deal that would include Joint operations and cash payments to both parties.

Alstom, who also manufactures railroad cars and transport vehicles, said in a statement that the deal has provided a great synergy on the commercial fronts and their products.

According to the statement, the final price of the deal has not yet been calculated, but Alstom says it will range between 5.8 and 6.2 billion euros.

The deal was welcomed by French Finance Minister Bruno Le Mer and senior management of Alstom.

After the deal, Alstom will boast requests for reservations worth 75 billion euros and a combined annual revenue of 15.5 billion euros, according to the statement.
