Amazon.com launched a website for shoppers in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

According to Reuters, the site is a renaming of the brand of Saudi customers on Souq.com, an e-commerce platform in the Middle East acquired by Amazon in 2017. < / p>

Amazon said that the information of the shoppers' accounts at Souq.com is automatically transferred to the new address (Amazon.sa).

It is a move that shows Amazon's interest in continuing its activities despite a public dispute between Riyadh and the CEO of the company, Jeff Bezos.

Amazon spokespeople did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the reason for the move.

These reports indicate that a dispute involving Bezos and Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman has not completely undermined Amazon's investment plans for the Saudi market.
