Tech giant Microsoft's quarterly revenue and profit rose on Tuesday, more than analysts had expected.


According to Arabiya Net, the company said revenue rose 21.3% year-on-year to $46.15 billion in the second quarter of the year, exceeding analysts' expectations of $44.24 billion.


Earnings were $16.46 billion in the three months ended June 30, or $2.17 per share, compared with the median forecast of $1.92 per share.
