Natural gas futures rose during the European session on Tuesday.

According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, natural gas futures for January delivery were trading at USD3.45 per million British thermal units at the time of writing, up 0.17%.

It was previously trading higher at USD3.46 per MMBtu. Natural gas could find support at USD3.173 and resistance at USD3.639.

The dollar index, which measures the performance of the greenback against a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.07% to trade at USD106.84.

Meanwhile on the Nymex, January crude oil futures rose 0.78% to trade at $69.48 a barrel while January heating oil futures rose 1.26% to trade at $2.27 a gallon.
