At the close of trading today, gold futures prices jumped to settle at $ 4,988.21 per ounce , a rise of 1.52%, while spot gold also climbed to $ 4,988.60 , up 1.06%. Meanwhile, the US dollar index fell to 97.52 , a decline of 0.77%, against a basket of major currencies, including the euro and the pound sterling.
Silver
Silver futures closed at $ 103.38 an ounce, up 7.27%
oil
Crude oil prices rose at the close of trading, settling at $61.32 a barrel, up 3.3%. Brent crude futures also rose, closing at $66.20 a barrel, up 3.34%.
