The hotel movement in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi witnessed remarkable activity in the last quarter of 2018, which contributed to the increase in the value of the quarterly returns to the sector.

The revenues of hotel establishments in the fourth quarter of last year amounted to 1.8 billion dirhams, equivalent to 490 million dollars, an increase of 73% compared to the third quarter of the same year.

According to figures released by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center, the number of establishments increased from 162 to 168 by the end of last December, compared to 163 by the end of September 2018.

The number of rooms included in the portfolio of hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi increased to 32.97 thousand rooms during the last quarter of 2018, an increase of 4.6% compared to 31.51 thousand rooms in the immediately preceding quarter. p>

As for the number of inmates, it increased from 1.29 million to 1.34 million during the comparison periods.

The number of nights stayed increased from 3.02 million nights to 3.58 million nights, bringing the occupancy rate from 66% at the end of the third quarter of last year to 78% in the last quarter of the year. < / p>
