Apple regained the top spot on the Kantar Brands list of the world's most valuable brands for the first time since 2015, with a value of $947.1 billion, becoming the first brand on its way to reach the $1 trillion mark.

Google rose to second place, with its brand value increasing by 79% to $819.6 billion.

The total value of the world's top 100 brands increased by 23% to $8.7 trillion over the past year, and the ranking of 37 brands in this year's list has improved.

Tesla is one of the world's biggest success stories, as it climbed to 29th place, up from 47th place, reflecting the growing trend towards electric vehicles around the world in the past year.

Chinese companies still maintain their presence in the first positions despite facing epidemiological challenges, as Tencent ranked fifth in the world, and Alibaba ranked ninth.
