The data of the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia showed, today, Thursday, that the inflation rate in the Kingdom increased by 2.3% during last June on an annual basis.


According to Arabiya Net, the rise came as a result of the increase in food prices.


The consumer price index (inflation rate) in Saudi Arabia increased by 2.2% during May 2022, compared to the same month last year.


At that time, the Saudi General Authority for Statistics said that the main driver of consumer price index inflation was the rise in food and beverage prices by 4.2%, and transportation prices by 4%.
