The Saudi Council of Ministers, in its session yesterday, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, approved the license of Standard Chartered Bank to open a branch in the Kingdom.

The Board decided to authorize the Minister of Finance to decide any subsequent application to open other branches of the bank in the Kingdom, provided that the bank is committed to practicing banking with the regulations, regulations and instructions in force in Saudi Arabia, and that the Monetary Agency coordinates The Saudi Arabian with the bank to complete the necessary regulatory procedures for that.
