The Qatari government has issued its first dollar-denominated international bonds for the first time since 2020.

Qatar sold green bonds for 5 and 10 years to finance environmentally friendly projects at an issuance premium of 70 basis points over five-year US Treasury bonds, and 80 basis points for the second tranche.

Qatar last entered the international bond market in April 2020, raising $10 billion after attracting $45 billion in orders from investors.

Qatar's total public debt amounts to about $93 billion, representing 41% of the Gulf state's total GDP.
