Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Hotels & Tourism and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.

At the close of trading in Riyadh, the Saudi General Index fell by 0.47%.

Among the leading stocks on the Tadawul All Share Index today were Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Company (TADAWUL:8180), which rose 9.96% or 1.92 points to trade at 21.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Baha Investment and Development Company (TADAWUL:4130) added 8.33% or 0.01 points to end at 0.13 and United Cooperative Insurance Group (TADAWUL:8150) was up 5.83% or 1.08 points to trade at 19.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lejam Sports Company (TADAWUL:1830), which fell 9.96% or 23.00 points to trade at 208.00 at the close. Naseej International Trading Company (TADAWUL:1213) fell 4.04% or 3.20 points to end at 76.10 and Al Tayseer Talco Industrial Group (TADAWUL:4143) closed down 4.03% or 2.70 points to 64.30.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing stocks in the Saudi Stock Exchange by 147 to 141, while 26 remained unchanged.

WTI crude oil futures for September delivery fell 0.77% or 0.58 to $75.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery fell 0.67% or 0.53 to $78.52 a barrel, while the December gold contract rose 0.28% or 6.75 to $2,432.25 a troy ounce.

The EUR/SAR pair remained stable by 0.02% and traded at 4.06 levels, while the USD/SAR pair remained unchanged by 0.00% and reached 3.75 levels.

Dollar index futures were trading 0.17% higher at 104.49.
