The US administration prevented the Taiwanese company TSMC, which manufactures Kirin chips for Huawei phones, from supplying the Chinese company with chips for its phones, in light of TSMC's use of US equipment for the production of semiconductors, as the US administration demanded that it be pre-approved to supply companies placed on the US blacklist before shipping products .


Huawei also suffered another blow with the blocking of its benefit from the Android systems developed by Google, as well as Google's services, which greatly affected the company's international sales, especially since Google's services are banned in China by the Chinese government.


The Mate X2 is the first Huawei phone to be based on the operating system developed by the company known as Harmony OS.


The price of the phone will range between $ 2785 for the 256 GB version, and $ 2,950 for the 512 GB version, and it will be launched in China from February 25.


The Chinese company shipped 32 million smartphones in the last quarter of 2020, down nearly 43% from last year, making it the sixth largest seller of phones in terms of market share, according to Canalys, which indicated that this is the first time Huawei exited For the top five in six years.
