The American company Dell Technologies announced that it has suspended all its operations in Russia after it closed its offices in mid-August; to become the latest on a growing list of Western companies exiting Russia.

The American Computer Company, a vital supplier of services in Russia, joined other companies that halted operations after Russia sent tens of thousands of its troops into Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Dell halted sales in Ukraine and Russia in February, saying it would monitor the situation to determine next steps.

In mid-August we closed our offices and halted all Russian operations, company spokesman Mike Semenas told Reuters.

In February, we made the decision not to sell, serve or support products in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk regions as well as the already banned Crimea, he said.

The Russian Ministry of Industry said, on Friday, that many researchers and engineers working for Dell in Russia have already been offered new jobs, after media reports stated that the company was in the process of completely exiting the country.
