Recent data showed that the total sales of Chinese real estate developer Evergrande fell 39% in 2021.

The company's total sales last year amounted to 443 billion yuan, or 69 billion dollars, compared to 723 billion yuan in 2020.

It is reported that the company's shares were suspended on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange last Monday, due to the company's suffering from a major debt crisis.

Evergrand defaulted on $255 million in bond payments last week, with 30 days to reach an agreement with creditors.

The Chinese authorities demanded last week that the group demolish 39 apartment buildings within 10 days as a result of their illegal construction.
